Dafuti is originally from Kharikola in the Solukhumbu region of Nepal. As a child in Kharikola, Dafuti would see tourists who came to trek and experience the mountains and nature around her home. Seeing tourists coming from so far away to see her home made Dafuti think about trekking and she went on to become a professional female trekking guide. In 2017, she completed courses in introductory rock climbing and basic mountain rescue. She has led treks in the Annapurna Region (Poon Hill, Annapurna Base Camp, Mardi Himal, Upper Mustang), Langtang Region( Gosainkunda), and Everest Region( Everest Base Camp). Dafuti says, “Life is always learning, life is always an exam, so I like to keep learning for fun.” In her free time when not leading treks or being a house wife, she studies to improve her English and has taken a course on coffee.
