Ngawang is a monk at the Monastery in Lukla and a trekking guide from the solokumbu region of Nepal. He has led treks throughout Nepal including Everest, Annapurna, Manaslu, and Langtang regions. He has also lead climbs of Mera, Island, Chulo Far East (Annapurna Region) Peaks. Ngawang has completed courses in ice climbing and first aid. He worked in Malaysia for 4 years where he learned Malay and Indonesian. When not leading treks, he studies Buddhism at the monastery in Lukla.
