Sir Edmund Hillary is said to have declared Pikey Peak is favorite trekking view point in Nepal. On a clear day it is possible to see as far as Dhaulagiri to the west and Kanchenjunga to the East.
July is well into the monsoon season. Low elevations are hot and humid, with at least some rain likely during each day. At higher altitudes, the weather is cool and damp. But the clouds are usually the most frustrating part of monsoon trekking.
