This trail was developed to support local communities in the Annapurna-Dhaulagiri region. The trail passes through less visited area of the region around the more well-known and touristy trek to Poon Hill. The lodgings along this trail are small community lodges and home stays, so don't expect plush mattresses with an attached bathroom, but what the stays lack in amenities they make up for in cultural experience and exchange. The highlight of the trek is the viewpoint at Mohare Danda. Mohare Danda is less well known than nearby Poon Hill but boasts a similar panoramic view of the Annapurna Range. Unlike Poon Hill Mohare Danda has a lodge at the summit so you can wake up step outside and enjoy the magnificent sunrise view with a cup of hot tea in hand, and without the predawn headlamp illuminated trek. The lodge at Mohare Danda is owned by Nangi School so that all of profits from the lodge go to help fund the school.

Amazing trail, particularly if you want to avoid the crowds. Rewarding view at the top of the Annapurna Mountain Range. Great huts, with great food and friendly local communities. Great option if you want to escape the crowds on Poon Hill.
