WOW we did it. Crystal and I could not have gotten a better guide, and we would not have finished our trek without Rajkumar (Raj). He is a great guide and mentor. Raj quickly became our companion and never was pushy, abrasive, or demanding. He provided us the right amount of information without overwhelming us in minutia details. HIs attributes include very good English, very professional, always projecting a positive attitude, and had the medical knowledge that saved our trek. He made our dream come true and provided a stress free adventure. Raj quickly gained our trust and effortlessly fixed the numerous unexpected Nepal complications and modified the trek to suite our "senior" health issues and our fitness level. Raj provided us the confidence so we could focus on the beauty of blooming Rhododendron trees and the amazing Annapurna mountains. For us the challenges with the trail were physically significant, and Raj was always close to assist when necessary (he is like lightning fast to steady us if there is a slip or stumble). The Tea Houses Raj recommended were great with amazing staff. Based on our success with completing the trek, we know we made the best decision with requesting Raj, out of so many others. We are not the only ones with a excellent recommendation, Raj has a history of excellent reviews by others. He made sure we did not get gouged and that we paid low prices when shopping for trekking gear. He watched after our expenses during the trek and negotiated best prices. Nepal the land of (Never Ending Pease and Love) is not so perfect, and full of surprises, delays, and stuff that made no sense to us. Nepali's are lovely, helpful people in a place of "near misses". To fully enjoy the beauty of Nepal and avoid complications, my recommendation to others is set aside a few dollars for a guide and use Rajkumar. Believe me, we know by experience, what is paid in guide fees is small, compared with potential costs with sorting out complications on your own. We quickly came to appreciate the country at the "Top of World", and love Nepal's people and beauty. Crystal and I silently cried when Raj turned for last time when it was time for us to leave and it was time for him to guide another client on the ABC. We dearly miss our Nepali friend. Thank you so much Raj.....we did it. BTW we found Kathmandu absolutely crazy and complicated. Dealing with cancelled flights, crazy roads, unbelievable traffic, crowds everywhere, people going all directions. KTM made Pokhara and our time with Raj feel like heaven. I hope to attempt EBC with Raj next.

Raj was a great guide! He was very accommodating and patient with my friend and I and set the pace to suit our physical levels. He was happy to answer all out questions and had thorough knowledge of the Annapurna Mountain Range, the villages along the Mohare Danda trail and the unique culture. I highly recommend Raj as a guide for the Annapurna Region. Thank you Raj!

I am very grateful to Rajkumar (Raj) for accompanying me on the trip. I originally thought I would be able to do the trek on my own, but it became obvious very quickly that it wouldn't have been possible, or safe, without an experienced guide. Raj was not only a very experienced route guide, but he added so much to my trip in terms of area information, history, language, as well as friendship and humour along the way. Many times when I found the going tough, he kept me going with advice, motivation and physical help. Raj is a real credit to the guide community of Nepal and to Sherpana as well. I want to send my thanks to Raj for the many ways he helped to make my trip memorable and for his excellent choices of lodges and food stops along the way. I would highly recommend Raj to anyone wanting to do a trek in the Annapurna region!
