Pemba is originally from Lukla the gateway to the Everest Region of Nepal. He has led many treks throughout Nepal, including treks in his home region: 3 passes (Cho La Kongma La and Renjo La), and into the Khumbu from Rolwaling over the Tashi Lapcha Pass. In addition from the treks, he has led climbs of many trekking peaks in the Everest region including Lobuche, Mera, and Island Peaks. In addition to the Khumbu (Everest) Region Pemba has also lead treks in Annapurna Region. In his free time Pemba enjoys Thakna painting (a traditional Buddhist religious painting). He also enjoys studying Buddhist texts, traveling, seeing new places and meeting new people.

Teahouse lodging, food, & transportation paid separately.
Food & Lodging
In order to provide you with the best possible price and to get as much money as possible directly to the people who are actually doing the work, we do not charge you in advance for teahouse lodging and food. The guide will be able to book accommodation for the group in advance during high season. However, you will pay the teahouse owner directly for food and lodging. Budget at least $25 a day for food and lodging to be paid in cash directly to the teahouse. Estimated food & lodging for this trip $400 per person.
Transportation
For 'Guide & Permit Only' treks we do not include transportation to/from the trail head. Your guide will help you arrange transportation to the trail head in the case where public bus tickets or a hired private vehicle is required. In addition to your own fare, please pay the fare of your guide and porter (if you have hired one) for public buses and public jeeps. In the case of flights, a fee for the guides transportation is included in the price. You have the option of allowing us to also book your flight this ensures that your guide can be on the same flight. You are also free to book your own flight with the airlines directly if you wish please let us know your flight information if you book your own tickets. If you are on trek in which multiple trekkers have joined we will provide you with the contacts of other members of your trek so that you can arrange your transportation together.- Unavailable

Pemba was a tremendous guide and made our entire trip so special and enjoyable. It was our first time in the Himalayas, and Pemba had both expert knowledge of the Khumbu Region, as well as a great handle on making sure our group was having a good time. Pemba’s very cheerful and engaging personality made our trip what it was and without him we would not have had such a great trip! Thanks Pemba, we will be back for another trek soon!

I did EBC via Ama Dablam trek alone and it was very important for me to have the right guide by my side. I didn't regret that I've chosen Pemba to lead my trek. Pemba is a very good person, friendly, kind, patient, well-adjusted, experienced and professional. I always felt comfortable with him. He is very knowledgeable about Buddhism because he is a monk associated with Monastery at Lukla. Pemba is a great Thangka Painter as well. This trek isn't easy, sometimes challenging but great and unforgettable. It was a highlight of my life! Thanks Pemba. I hope to see you again. Sherpana is well organised trustful company. I got a lot of help when I needed. Especially when I stuck at domestic airport because of bad weather. Lhakpa, thank you much!
