Da Chhiri is originally from Lukla in the Everest Region of Nepal. He has been guiding in the mountains of Nepal since 1997. Over the years he has led treks in nearly every region of Nepal including Annapurna, Mustang, Langtang, Manaslu, and Everest. He has led climbs of both Island and Mera Peak. During the off-season Da Chhiri is active in social work within the Khumbu Pasang Lhamu (rural municipality that contains the villages around Mt. Everest) and was elected to the rural municipality’s village development council (VDC).

Professionalism

Da Chhiri Sherpa comes from Lukla area and has extensive knowledge of the Khumbu. It was great to have such an experienced guide on the EBC trek. Altitude may be the most challenging aspect of this trek and I was able to pace the ascents with Da Chhiri very well and complete the trek one day ahead of schedule. I recommend him on any trek in the Khumbu.
