Food & Lodging
In order to provide you with the best possible price and to get as much money as possible directly to the people who are actually doing the work, we do not charge you in advance for teahouse lodging and food. The guide will be able to book accommodation for the group in advance during high season. However, you will pay the teahouse owner directly for food and lodging. Budget at least $25 a day for food and lodging to be paid in cash directly to the teahouse. Estimated food & lodging for this trip $250.00 per person.
Transportation
For 'Guide & Permit Only' treks we do not include transportation to/from the trail head. Your guide will help you arrange transportation to the trail head in the case where public bus tickets or a hired private vehicle is required. In addition to your own fare, please pay the fare of your guide and porter (if you have hired one) for public buses and public jeeps. In the case of flights, a fee for the guides transportation is included in the price. You have the option of allowing us to also book your flight this ensures that your guide can be on the same flight. You are also free to book your own flight with the airlines directly if you wish please let us know your flight information if you book your own tickets. If you are on trek in which multiple trekkers have joined we will provide you with the contacts of other members of your trek so that you can arrange your transportation together.Currently you have 0 guests trekking with you.

Porter
Each porter may carry no more than 20 kg (44 lb). One porter is usually enough for 2 people's gear.
Government required insurance covers the porter in case of an accident while on the trip.

The Gokyo Valley is the most spectacular of the Khumbu valleys. With its series of lakes and jaw dropping views of Everest, Gokyo should be a must visit on any trekkers visit to the Khumbu region. As a standalone trek or linking it to the Everest Bascamp trek via the Cho la is trek is sure to impress. If you can spare some extra time take a day hike from Gokyo to the Fifth Lake and climb Ngozumpa Tse. On a clear day, it boasts for one of the best trekking views in the Khumbu.

change startMay is the end of the ‘Spring Season’ when temperatures are more moderate and the pre-monsoon moisture increases the chance of precipitation as the month progresses. It can be hot and humid in the valleys at low elevations, so make sure you carry enough water. Like the rest of the spring, clear mornings typically give way to cloudy afternoons. At high altitudes, the precipitation can turn to snow, although at trekking elevations the accumulation does not usually get too deep. May is also the season when many 8000 m peaks are climbed so base camps of these mountains will be busy with activity.

There was an unusual amount of snow for the time of year, and it was very cold in Gokyo. However this did not bother us or interfere with our plans.

Goyko and Cho La were the highlights of the trip more spectacular than EBC, but bring light crampons! its very icy just over the pass!

Not many people seemed to have done this. It was a long twelve hour day with lots of soft snow / breaking through the crust on the way back in the afternoon which was slow and tiring. The views from the top were fantastic
